Meet Wayne – Care Manager at The Yews Care Home

Experienced, compassionate, and dedicated to person-centred care
Wayne is the Care Manager at The Yews Care Home, bringing over 30 years of experience in residential and dementia care. His passion for compassionate care began at just 16, caring for his grandmother living with vascular dementia—a formative experience that inspired his lifelong commitment to supporting older adults, particularly those with complex needs.
Wayne originally worked at The Yews early in his career and has now returned after 20 years, bringing a wealth of knowledge, calm leadership, and deep care for the residents he serves.
“It’s not clinical or corporate here,” Wayne says. “The focus is always on what truly matters: the residents and the quality of care we give them.”
