Meet Ray – Managing Director of The Yews Care Home

With over 28 years of experience in the care sector, Ray brings passion, leadership, and a deep sense of family legacy to his role as Managing Director of The Yews Care Home.
🌱 A Legacy of Care That Started at Home
Ray’s journey into care began with his mother—a nurse at Derby Royal Infirmary and City Hospital—whose dedication inspired the vision for The Yews. In 1994, his parents found a neglected building they believed could become a warm, safe home for the elderly. Together, they began transforming it—pouring years of love and effort into renovations.
Sadly, Ray’s father passed away before The Yews officially opened.
“We started this journey together—he’s a part of everything this home stands for.”
Since then, The Yews has grown into a trusted residential care home, rooted in compassion, family values, and community spirit.
